Aeroflot has begun selling flight tickets yesterday, 13 March

Cairo – Mubasher: Aeroflot Russian Airlines announced that flights from Moscow to Cairo will be resumed on 11 April 2018.

Russia’s flag carrier will operate three flights per week, which will be increased forward to one flight per day from 12 June to 2 July to meet demand during the World Cup, Aeroflot said in a statement.

The Russian largest airline pointed out that it has begun selling flight tickets yesterday, 13 March.

In January 2018, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree to resume flights between Moscow and Cairo.

It is worth note that the CEO Vitaly Savelyev of Aeroflot said that the Russian flagship carrier was planning to resume flights to Cairo by the end of February 2018, according to TASS Russian News Agency.

Given that Russian Minister of Transport Maksim Sokolov said last December that the flights between Moscow and Cairo were expected to resume in the first half of February 2018.

In November 2015, Russia suspended all Russian flights to the North African nation after a Russian passenger jet had crashed in the Sinai Peninsula, where 217 people died.
