Mubasher: Qatar’s real estate transactions surged 58% year-on-year in February 2018, according to the Justice Ministry's report on Wednesday.
The total property deals reached QAR 1.83 billion ($502.7 million) in the second month of the year, compared to QAR 1.16 billion ($318.7 million) a month earlier, the report showed.
The report noted that real estate deals in the world's richest country per capita rose 7% to 330 in February from 309 in the previous month.
Doha has seen the highest real estate transactions in the prior month with a total value of QAR 1.09 billion, followed by Al Rayyan and Daayen with a value of QAR 326.4 million and QAR 221.9 million, respectively.
While the mortgage sector's transactions amounted to 91 with a combined value of QAR 3.06 billion, the report highlighted.
