Goldman Sachs to invest in Saudi Arabia for 1st time
The kingdom's economic reforms will attract more investors

Riyadh – Mubasher: Goldman Sachs Group Inc. plans to inject funds into Saudi Arabia for the first time, CEO for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Wassim Younan said.

The kingdom's economic reforms will attract more investors, Bloomberg reported, citing Younan as saying.

Goldman Sachs, which has traditionally advised companies and governments on takeovers and fundraising efforts, is still interested in exploring investment opportunities in the oil-rich nation, Younan added, giving no further details on the volume of the bank's planned investments.

The US lender will appoint Ammar Al-Khudairy in Saudi Arabia to help in identifying the suitable investment opportunities.

Al-Khudairy will start his position in April as non-executive chairman, as well as he will be a regional adviser for the MENA markets.
