Riyadh – Mubasher: King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) has managed to attract a slew of major industrial investment, especially in the food industry on the back of the largest international food firms’ investment in the city, CEO of sales in KAEC’s industrial valley Anas Jabri said.

Moreover, there are 10 medicine plants in KAEC’s industrial valley, while two of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies are operating drug-making plants in the kingdom, Jabri added.

Saudi Arabia‘s drug-making sector includes promising and large opportunities, particularly the oil-rich nation imports 80% of medicines in the market.

Jabri noted that there will be a project for setting up biopharmaceutical drugs industry, which is considered the first-of-its-kind in the kingdom.
