Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has wheat reserves sufficient for three months, supply minister Ali Moselhi said.

Wheat reserves also will be enough for producing subsidised bread, with daily production of 250 million loaves, Moselhi added.

Domestic market’s rice stockpile is enough for seven months, according to the supply minister. 

The Egyptian official noted that sugar inventories will be sufficient for more than 4 months, while reserves and contracts of edible oil are enough for 4 months and a week.

Availability of commodities in the market contributed to reducing the inflation rate to 14.3% in February 2018, against 31.7% in the same month a year earlier.
