Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait retreated 0.26% or 18 points to 6,760.23 points during the week ended on 15 March compared to 6,788.18 points in the previous week.

Meanwhile, the weighted index added 0.39% or 1.6 points to 412.1 points, and the Kuwait-15 index added 0.84% or 8 points to 957.99 points.

The price index is moving in an upward trend which is considered a volatile point to the index, capital market analyst Hassan Al Kandry told Mubasher.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover went down by 1.5% to KWD 50.39 million this week compared to KWD 51.14 million in the previous week.

The trading volume decreased by 17.9% to 262.26 million shares from 319.49 million, after the transactions declined by 14% to about 12,310 from nearly 14,310.

Market cap increased by 0.4% or KWD 110 million ($367.28 million) to KWD 27.4 billion ($91.49 billion) this week from KWD 27.29 billion ($91.12 billion) in the previous week.
