Cairo - Mubasher: The data of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) showed a decline in the outcome from the auction to sell government debt instruments on Thursday, to a total of EGP 13.5 billion.
The CBE noted that the average return on the 182-day treasury bills recorded 17.75%, and was oversubscribed by 290%, with a total amount of EGP 5.77 billion.
Average return on the 364-day bills amounted to 16.62%, and was also oversubscribed by 250%, with bids totalling EGP 7.75 billion.
The central bank previously announced that it will send EGP 14.5 billion worth of treasury bills on Thursday.
