Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) decided to raise its two key interest rates by 25 bases points or 0.25% on Thursday.

The decision comes as the United States Federal Reserve is expected to take similar move in its next meetings, and it aims at protecting capital outflows from Saudi Arabia to the United States.

The repo rate has been increased to 2.25% and the reverse repo has been set at 1.75%.
