Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait started Sunday’s trading session 0.11% or 7.4 points lower at 6,752.87 points.

The weighted index also went down 0.02%, while the Kuwait-15 index added 0.14%.

By 9:25am Kuwait time, the consumer goods segment led decliners with 1.27%, dragged by Sultan Center which dropped 20% to be the top loser.

Earlier on Sunday, Boursa Kuwait announced that trading on Sultan Center has resumed after the company disclosed on Thursday its restructuring plan.

Meanwhile, technology companies headed gainers with 2.02%, followed by the telecom sector which added 1% in line with the 1.5% rise of Viva.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 1.5 million after 5.62 million shares were exchanged through 325 transactions.

The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) posted the highest trading value of about KWD 453,100. The stock went up 0.26%.

Mazaya was the most active stock on which 1.08 million shares were traded.
