Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait closed Sunday’s session 0.04% or 2.7 points lower at 6,757.5 points, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices added 0.27% and 0.82%, respectively.
Insurance companies led five decliners with 2.5%, dragged by Al Ahleia Insurance which lost 13.73%.
Meanwhile, the oil and gas sector topped six gainers with 2.17%, backed by IPG and Napesco which added 12.3% and 0.6%, respectively.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased by 41.4% to KWD 13.4 million on Sunday compared to KWD 9.48 million in the previous session after the trading volume increased by 25.9% to 59.5 million shares from 47.27 million.
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) recorded the highest trading value of KWD 3.08 million. The stock added 0.77%.
Mazaya was the most active stock on which 6.74 million shares were exchanged. The stock went down 0.91%.
