QSE ends Sunday down amid thin trade
The general index inched down 45 points, or 0.51%, to 8,802.8 points

Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) closed Sunday's trading session in red territory, amid thin trades.

The general index inched down 45 points, or 0.51%, to finish the first session of the week at 8,802.8 points.

The QSE’s liquidity decreased 69.9% to QAR 315.57 million on Sunday from QAR 1.05 billion on Thursday, while the trading volume went down 65.6% to 11.88 million shares against 34.49 million in the previous session.

The banking sector topped the QSE’s three decliners falling 1.4% as Qatar National Bank (QNB) levelled down 3.5%.

On the flipside, the real estate sector topped the bourse’s four gainers adding 2.37% after Ezdan Holding Group grew 5.4%.

Qatar Insurance’s stock, which inched up 0.03%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 3.43 million shares, generating QAR 125.7 million.
