Riyadh – Mubasher: US President Donald Trump will meet with the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday in Washington.

The two officials are forecast to discuss the economic and social reforms undertaken by the kingdom, as well as the diplomatic rift with Qatar, and Iran’s problems in the MENA region, especially its support of terrorism, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported.

Bin Salman and Trump will also tackle the recent anti-corruption probe that took place in November 2017 when Saudi authorities arrested several officials and princes accusing them of corruption.

Other topics that will be discussed by the top officials include ending the ban on women drivers and Saudi Arabia’s participation in the Yemeni war.

Tuesday’s meeting with Trump is the second between the two strongmen, who had previously men 10 months prior.

"It is jaw-dropping how many policy changes the Saudis have pursued at home and in the region since that last meeting," former CIA analyst Lori Plotkin Boghardt said.

"Many of these changes have touched US security interests," she added

Bin Salman stated earlier that through the Saudi Vision 2030, the kingdom aims to diversify its economic resources and attract many foreign investments.

The Saudi Crown Prince was quoted previously as saying that if Iran developed a nuclear bomb, his country would do the same.

"It would be virtually impossible for the Saudi government to accept terms that are less than what Obama gave the Iranians -- the possibility of future enrichment,” an informed source close to the Saudi government told AFP, indicating the nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers that was completed when Barack Obama was President.

On a side note, media sources reported previously that the two officials will discuss the potential initial public offering (IPO) for Saudi Aramco and which bourse the firm will list its stocks on.

In June, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, and the UAE cut diplomatic ties with Qatar, citing claims that the Gulf country was supporting terrorism.
