Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Al Fahid Property Development has awarded the first construction package and contract for the Al Fahid Island waterfront development in Abu Dhabi, according to a company statement on Sunday.

Faithful+Gould will provide cost management services in the project, while Bright Accord General Contracting will conduct reclamation and construction works, which are planned to be completed within nine months, the statement added. 

“We played a key role awarding the first construction contract for this breath-taking development and are excited start to see the development take its formative shape,” regional director for commercial services in SNC Lavalin’s Faithful+Gould business Steven Batchelor said.

Al Fahid Island will comprise 301 four- to seven-bedroom villas, 652 one- to four-bedroom apartments, and 15 three-bedroom townhouses, the Abu Dhabi-based developer revealed.

The mega project is scheduled for delivery in five phases, the first of which will be situated on around 21 million square metres, the real estate developer said. 

Al Fahid Property Development did not unveil data concerning to the deal’s value.
