Qatari banks' assets rise to QAR 1.36tn in February
Assets of Qatari banks rose 0.9% to QAR 1.36 trillion in February

Mubasher: Assets owned by banks operating in Qatar increased 0.9% month-on-month to QAR 1.37 trillion ($378.90 billion) in February compared to QAR 1.36 trillion ($375.44 billion), data released by the Qatar Central Bank (QCB).

Year-on-year, banks’ assets hiked 9.08% to QAR 1.26 trillion ($347.34 billion) in the year ended on 31 December 2017.

The QCB attributed the asset increase to a rise in loans by 1.3% to QAR 932.56 billion in February, compared to QAR 920.97 billion the month before.

Qatari banks’ mandatory reserves declined 1.4% to QAR 36.07 billion in February versus QAR 36.59 billion in January, the data showed.
