Mubasher: Deposits at banks operating in Qatar increased 1.04% in February 2018, the Qatar Central Bank’s (QCB) data showed on Monday.
Total deposits levelled up to QAR 811.55 billion ($222.93 billion) in February from QAR 803.17 billion ($220.63 billion) in January.
Year-on-year, lenders' deposits went up 10.3%, according to the QCB's data.
Foreign deposits at banks operating in the world's richest country per capita grew 3.9% to QAR 142.42 billion in February versus QAR 137.04 billion in the prior month.
Moreover, the public sector’s overall deposits advanced 1.7% to QAR 310.47 billion last month against QAR 305.43 billion by the end of January.
As for the private sector’s total deposits, these inched up 0.2% to QAR 469.99 billion in February versus QAR 469.19 billion in the prior month.
