Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Tuesday in the green after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index levelled up 14.22 points, or 0.18%, to finish at 7,724.79 points.
By the end of the mid-week session, TASI’s traded volume stood at 164.6 million shares, against 176.4 million on Monday, while liquidity decreased to SAR 3.88 billion ($1.03 billion), from SAR 3.98 billion ($1.06 billion).
The food and staples retailing sector went up 1.07%, followed by banks with 2.13%, and materials with 0.12%.
On the flipside, the telecommunication services sector tumbled 1.86%, while food and beverages fell 1.12%.
Saudi Steel Pipe’s stock was TASI’s best performer after gaining 9.97% to SAR 21.62, whereas National Agricultural Development Company’s (NADEC) stock led losers with 4.4% to close at SAR 36.25.
In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, slipped 0.03% to 3,021.91 points.
Baazeem Trading’s stock dropped 3.15% to SAR 24, whereas the stock of Abo Moati for Bookstores grew 5.19% to finish at SAR 12.16.
