Mubasher: Al Khalij Commercial Bank’s (Al Khaliji) stock retreated during Sunday’s trades to its lowest level on the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) since April 2009.

The stock dropped 0.89% to QAR 11.10 by 11:40 am Qatar time. Turnover on the stock amounted to QAR 1.46 million after 132,030 shares changed hands through 65 transactions.

Weighed by Al Khaliji’s stock and eight others, the banking sector fell 0.23%. Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock was down 0.37%.

In the meantime, the QSE’s benchmark index shed 0.19% or 17.34 points, reaching 8,809.01 points.

The Qatar-based lender last reported a rise in profits to QAR 550.5 million in the full year 2017, up from QAR 426.9 million in the year before. The bank’s ordinary general meeting (OGM) recently approved a 7.5% cash dividend to shareholders at QAR 0.75 per share.
