Thunder Snow wins $10m Dubai World Cup race

Mubasher: Thunder Snow horse has won the 2000 metres $10 million Dubai World Cup race at Meydan Racecourse, which was sponsored by Emirates Airline.

The Irish thoroughbred was trained by Saeed bin Surour and saddled by Christophe Soumillon, Emirates News Agency reported.

Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has received the gold cup from Deputy Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.  

''It was a pleasant surprise,” Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said.

A total of 118 horses from all over the world – including the UAE, US, Canada, Great Britain, France, Ireland, China, and Japan – to participate in Dubai World Cup 2018.

Over 60,000 horse racing fans came to attend the major event.
