Mubasher: The ordinary general meeting (OGM) of Jazeera Airways approved the board’s recommendation to distribute 35% of the capital as a cash dividend for fiscal year 2017.

Jazeera Airways will pay 35 fils per share as dividends to the entitled shareholders, according to a recent statement.

On 8 February, Jazeera Airways reported an operating profit of KWD 7.7 million for fiscal year 2017, and a net profit of KWD 8.2 million.

“Other highlights of the year include 11.2% growth in flown passengers, 6.7% growth in load factor, and a high on-time performance of 93%,” the statement added.

Jazeera Airways clarified that it has also expanded its route network during fiscal year 2017 with the launch of non-stop flights to Baku, Doha, and Hyderabad, India.

“2018 will be no less exciting than 2017, and the Jazeera team is already off to a great start,” Jazeera Airways chairman Marwan Boodai said.

Boodai added that “The coming few months will be very active. More new routes, new aircraft additions to the fleet, and new customer-focused services.”
