Mubasher: Italy’s football club AS Roma on Wednesday saw its stock jumping sharply after the team scored an unexpected win against Spain’s giant Barcelona during the champions’ league’s quarter final, knocking it out of the competition.

By 12:30 pm GMT, the club’s owner stocks rose by around 19% to EUR 0.58, marking largest increase since 2014.

Barcelona’s Tuesday night defeat came as a surprise after the Italian team made a stunning comeback, scored 3 goals, and got qualified to the semi-final for the first time since 1983-1984 season.
