Cairo – Mubasher: The financial indicators of Abu Qir Fertilizers showed a 10% year-on-year surge in profits for the nine months ended March 2018.

The Egyptian fertilisers producer had achieved EGP 1.95 billion in profits during the first nine-month period of fiscal year 2017/2018, compared to EGP 1.77 billion in the same period of FY16/17, Abu Qir said in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Sunday.

Revenues grew to EGP 5.6 billion during the July-March period of FY17/18, versus EGP 4.19 billion in the prior-year period.

Abu Qir Fertilizers had previously posted a 14% year-on-year rise in profits for the first half of FY17/18, recording EGP 1.24 billion due to higher revenues.
