Japan’s PM meets Trump; North Korea tests long-held ties

Mubasher: The prime minister of Japan has worked to build close ties with the US President Donald Trump.

Shinzo Abe heads to the US for another summit meeting over differences regarding trade and North Korea are testing that relationship.

Abe is due at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort for two days starting on Tuesday.

The Japanese PM has urged to arrange the meeting after Trump surprised many by agreeing to talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, a summit now slated for May or June.
