QSE ends Thursday in green amid heavy liquidity
The general index rose 141.60 points, or 1.56%, to finish at 9,196.62 points.

Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) closed Thursday’s trading in positive territory, for the fourth session in a row, encouraged by the massive growth of all sectors, amid high liquidity.

The general index rose 141.60 points, or 1.56%, to finish at 9,196.62 points.

By the end of the last session this week, the QSE’s liquidity increased to QAR 449.28 million from QAR 365.28 million on Wednesday, while the trading volume decreased to 16.13 million shares against 19.19 million in the previous session.

The real estate sector topped the QSE’s gainers rising 5.26% as Ezdan Holding Group went up 7.77%.

Similarly, the banking sector grew 3.01% after Qatar National Bank (QNB) went up 5.14%, while the industrial sector levelled up 0.97% after Mesaieed increased 2.48%.

Vodafone Qatar’s stock, which advanced 0.87%, led the bourse in terms of trading volume with 5.6 million shares, while QNB’s stock headed the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 136.5 million.
