Mubasher: The Qatari defense ministry on Thursday has signed an agreement with US-based Raytheon Company, the world's largest producer of guided missiles, to buy new patriot missile system.

The Qatari armed forces did not give further details concerning the deal’s value.

Raytheon Company is a major US defense contractor and industrial corporation with core manufacturing concentrations in weapons, military and commercial electronics.

It is worth noting that Qatar, the world’s biggest liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporter, signed around 18 defense agreements during Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (Dimdex 2018), which took place in March 2018 at the Qatari capital of Doha.
