Blue chips boost ADX in week
The real estate sector gained 1.7%

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index added 53.53 points, or 1.15%, to close at 4,706.56 points during the week, pushed up by blue chips.

The ADX’s trading volume shrank to 270.99 million shares from 357.77 million in the previous week, while the market’s liquidity tumbled to AED 524.19 million versus AED 687.54 million a week earlier.

The energy sector soared 3.57% after TAQA ballooned 13.33%, while Dana Gas surged 4.35%.

TAQA is a perfect and a heavy stock, technical analyst Gamal Abdul Hamid said, adding that the stock may target AED 1.34 level in the coming sessions.

The real estate sector gained 1.7%, as Aldar Properties and RAK Properties added 1.94% and 1.54%, respectively.

The telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, grew 2.05% each.

The banks sector rose 0.64%, supported by First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), which levelled up 2.03% and 0.78%, respectively.​
