Mubasher: China Mobile reported on Friday a 4.1% rise in net profit during the first quarter of 2018, compared with the same period last year.

Net profits totaled CYN 25.8 billion ($4.1 billion) in Q1-18, compared with CYN 24.8 billion ($3.9 billion) for the same period in 2017, as shown by the data of the Chinese telecom company.

Earnings were below expectations, while revenues levelled up 0.8% year-on-year to CYN 185.5 billion, measured by a new accounting standard, in oppose to previous standards that would have shown an increase of 2.9%, the company noted.
