EGX opens Sunday in green
The EGX70 index inched up 0.15% to 868.47 points

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Sunday’s trading session up on the back of foreign buying.

By 10:26 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index added 83.64 points, or 0.46%, to 17,862.9 points.

The EGX70 index inched up 0.15% to 868.47 points, while the EGX100 index edged up 0.30% to 2,280 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.93% to 3,043 points.

The bourse's trading volume reached around 111.6 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 223.4 million through 4,190 transactions.

Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 2.4 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 1.5 million and EGP 860,900, respectively.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) levelled up 0.49% to EGP 89.8.
