Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE topped the Arab peers in terms of quality of nationality, according to citizenship planning firm Henley and Partners’ recent report.

The Henley and Partners, which is a global citizenship and residence advisory firm, works on providing a ranking of the quality of nationalities worldwide.

“The UAE ranks 1st in the Arab world on the Quality of Nationality Index 2017 by Henley & Partners,” the Dubai Media office said in a tweet on Sunday.

Over the last five years, the UAE’s ranking has improved 13 spots, as it reached 45.8% in 2017, compared to 44.5% a year earlier, according to Henley and Partners’ annual index.

Henley and Partners attributed this improvement due to the significant strides that the GCC country has made for passport holders and visa-free travel destinations to the Schengen Area.

On the other hand, Kuwait came second and 82nd globally, while Saudi Arabia ranked third and 89th globally, according to the QNI report.
