TASI drops 21 pts, Nomu edges up at Sunday’s close
TASI’s trading volume stood at 208.54 million shares on Sunday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Sunday in the red after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) tumbled 0.25% or 20.54 points to 8,256.60 points.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 208.54 million shares on Sunday, down from 250.26 million on Thursday, while liquidity retreated to SAR 4.41 billion, from SAR 5.99 billion.

The pharmaceuticals, retailing, materials, telecommunication services, and banks sectors declined 3%, 0.9%, 0.8%, 0.8%, and 0.06%, respectively.

On the other hand, the food and staples retailing sector rose 2.5%, while the media segment increased 1.9%.

Sahara Petrochemicals Company’s (Sahara) stock was the worst performer with 5.1%, whereas Ash Sharqiyah Development’s stock jumped 10%.

Saudi Basic Industries Corporation’s (SABIC) stock acquired trading value with SAR 457.38 million, while Bank Al Jazira’ stock dominated traded value after 30.15 million shares were exchanged.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, inched up 0.06% or 1.91 points, to finish at 3,169.54 points.

Nomu’s trading volume reached 41,680 shares on Sunday, against 1.24 million on Thursday, while its turnover fell to SAR 957,870, down from SAR 1.24 million.

Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock went up 12.1%, whereas the stock of Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries levelled down 1.9%.

Baazeem Trading’s stock was the most active in terms of trading value after generating SAR 332,650, while Arab Sea Information System’s stock saw trading of 19,950 shares.
