Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Monday in the green after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose 0.5% or 43.82 points to 8,300.42 points.
By 10:38 am Saudi time, TASI saw trading of 58.12 million shares changed hands through 27,960 transactions, with a liquidity of SAR 1.12 billion.
The telecommunication services sector increased 1.6%, followed by the food and beverages segment with 1.6%.
The energy, materials and banking sectors added 1.3%, 0.7%, and 0.3%, respectively.
On the flipside, the commercial and professional services sector fell 0.6%, while the media segment shed 0.5%.
MetLife's stock grew 6.7%, whereas Al Sagr Cooperative Insurance’s stock declined 1.9%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, dropped 14.04 points, or 0.4%, to 3,155.50 points.
Raydan Co, Thob Al-Aseel Company, and Arab Sea Information System stock levelled down 2.9%, 0.8%, and 0.7%, respectively.
