QSE starts Wednesday in green
By 10:10 am Qatar time, the general index grew 0.57%

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday’s trading in the green, supported by the growth of six sectors.

By 10:10 am Qatar time, the general index grew 0.57% to 9,143.57 points, adding 52.24 points.

Turnover amounted to QAR 73.2 million after 2.5 million shares were traded through 1,100 transactions.

The transportation sector topped the QSE’s risers adding 2.61% as Qatar Navigation gained 3.77%.

Similarly, the industrial sector went up 0.58% after Aamal Company’s stock increased 1.95%, while the banking sector levelled up 0.28% as Qatar National Bank (QNB) rose 0.26%.

On the negative side, the telecommunication sector headed the bourse’s decliners, slipping 0.03% on the back of Ooredoo’s marginal decline of 0.07%.

Gulf International’s stock led the market in terms of trading volume with 392,900 shares, while Qatar Fuel’s stock, which advanced 1.35%, headed the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 14.4 million.
