Cairo – Mubasher: The International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) mission will arrive in Egypt on 1 May 2018 for the third review of the Egyptian economic reform programme.
The review will be conducted over two weeks, and the delegation will meet with a number of ministers and government officials, Enterprise Press reported, citing deputy finance minister Mohamed Maait.
The North African nation would obtain the fourth tranche worth $2 billion of the $12 billion loan in June or July 2018, Maait projected.
The IMF has raised Egypt’s economic growth estimates to 5.2% for the current fiscal year, and to 5.5% in fiscal year 2018/2019.
