Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday’s trading in the green, encouraged by the growth of five sectors.
By 10:10 am Qatar time, the general index grew 17.66 points, or 0.19%, to 9,127.30 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 33.1 million after 1.3 million shares changed hands through 631 transactions.
The real estate sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 0.73%, boosted by Ezdan Holding Company which rose 1.33%.
Similarly, the industrial sector levelled up 0.63%, after Qatari Investors Group added 3.40%, while the banking sector inched up 0.12% as National Leasing Holding Company jumped 1.59%.
Meanwhile, the telecommunication sector topped the bourse’s decliners falling 1.02% as Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar fell 1.90% and 0.11%, respectively.
The goods sector went down 0.36% as Al Meera Consumer Goods Company inched down 0.07%.
Qatar Gas Transport’s stock, which advanced 1.03%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 281,600 shares, while Qatari Investors Group’s headed the bourse in terms of liquidity with QAR 7.2 million.
