Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: Al Hilal Bank has reportedly detected the embezzlement of over AED 500 million ($136 million) by some member of the bank’s staff.

The accused employees have stolen the amount from dormant accounts, informed sources told Bloomberg.   

The embezzled money was transferred later from the state-owned Islamic bank to fake accounts

Al Hilal’s total assets record AED 42.7 billion, the international news corporation’s data showed.
