Mubasher: Al Khaleej Takaful Group reported a 58% year-on-year decline in its profits for the first quarter of 2018.

Net profits amounted to QAR 5.83 million in Q1-18, compared to QAR 13.87 million in Q1-17, according to the company’s statement to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) issued late Sunday.

Earnings per share (EPS) recorded QAR 0.23 for the three-month period ended March 2018, versus QAR 0.54 for the same period of the prior year.

For the full-year 2017, the company’s profits rose 10.6% to QAR 14.6 million, from QAR 13.2 million in the year before.
