Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: BOK International Bank, a regional branch of Bank of Khartoum, has assigned Shariyah Review Bureau (SRB) as Sharia Advisor, a part of its plan to launch new Islamic banking products in the UAE.

“We are led by a highly qualified, seasoned, and focused team with exceptional banking experience and total commitment to comply with Shariah banking principles,” BOK International UAE’s regional CEO Akram Elbaloula commented. 

Under the agreement between both organisations, SRB will enable BOK International to improve operational stability, reduce cost resulted from Sharia supervision, and implement a Sharia framework, according to an official statement released on Monday.

“We are looking forward to working with BOK International and helping it transform and sustain its business in a Sharia-compliant way,” SRB’s Founder and CEO Yasser S. Dahlawi said.
