Mubasher: The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) achieved annual profits worth KWD 112.8 million ($374.4 million) in the fiscal year 2017/18, Annahar Newspaper reported.

The number of accounts and deposits in local banks increased by KWD 343 million to total KWD 3.5 billion by the end of April 2018, compared to KWD 3.157 billion by the end of March 2017, the Kuwaiti newspaper added.

The CBK’s bonds stood at KWD 1.85 billion by the end of April 2018, unchanged from a month earlier.

Asset value rose by KWD 265 million to KWD 10.294 billion by the end of April 2018, compared to KWD 10.029 billion by the end of March 2017, Annahar said.
