Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has announced that it will add the sixth oil processing train in Upper Zakum as part of the energy giant’s plan to increase the field’s production capacity to 1 million barrels per day (bpd).

The new train will be identical to Adnoc’s fifth oil processing train in the offshore field, according to MEED magazine.

In November 2017, ADNOC signed an agreement with ExxonMobil, Abu Dhabi Offshore Petroleum Company, and Japan’s Inpex Corporation to increase output capacity at the Upper Zakum oil field to 1 million bpd by 2024.
