Saudi indices see mixed performance at Tuesday's close
TASI closed higher while Nomu ended Tuesday lower

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Tuesday in the green after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) jumped 48.24 points or 0.6%, reaching 8,044.67 points, whereas the Nomu parallel market index closed lower.

TASI’s traded volume stood at 129.6 million shares on Tuesday, up from 105.7 million shares on Monday, while liquidity grew to SAR 3.17 billion from SAR 2.46 billion.

The materials, energy, pharmaceuticals, telecommunication services, and banks sectors levelled up 1.6%, 1.4%, 1.2%, 0.5%, and 0.14%, respectively.

On the flipside, the food and staples retailing sector decreased 0.65%, while retailing shed 0.4%.

Saudi Real Estate’s (Al Akaria) stock led TASI’s risers with 8.3%, whereas Abdullah A. M. Al-Khodari Sons Co’s stock fell 2.6%.

Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock topped the market in terms of trading volume after 21.71 million shares were exchanged, while the Saudi Basic Industries Corp’s (SABIC) stock led in terms of liquidity after generating SAR 709.68 million.

In the meantime, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, tumbled 9.84 points or 0.3% to 3,074.14 points.

Nomu’s trading volume hit 22,100 shares on Tuesday, down from 72,560 shares on Monday, while traded value more than halved to SAR 528,620 from SAR 1.27 million.

Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock led losers, sliding 5.9%, whereas the stock of Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries surged 11.6%. The latter dominated Nomu’s turnover with SAR 242,830, while Raydan Co’s stock was the most actively traded in terms of volume with 11,000 shares exchanged.
