Mubasher: French President Emmanuel Macron is set to discuss a number of global major issues during the meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Russia on Thursday.

The Iranian nuclear deal, the situations Syria and Ukraine, as well as the economic and political relations between Europe and Russia, especially after the rising tensions with the United Kingdom, are all set to be on the agenda.

Leaders of the European Union are reportedly looking forward to new techniques in dealing with Putin, other than sanctions, that were deemed ineffective by many.
