Mubasher: Sales of previously-owned homes in the United Stated declined last month, according to the data released on Thursday.

Existing home sales fell 2.5% month-on-month in April, according to the American National Association of Realtors, as it reached a total 5.46 million units, which is below expectations of 5.56 million.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major currencies, fell 0.26%, however, it is mainly pressured by the recent decision of the US President to call off his anticipated meeting with the North Korean leader.
