QSE ends Sunday in red
The general index inched down 0.62%, or 56.38 points, to 8,992.81 points.

Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) closed Sunday’s trading session in red territory, dragged down by the fall of five sectors.

The general index inched down 56.38 points, or 0.62%, to finish at 8,992.81 points.

By the end of the session, the QSE’s liquidity decreased to QAR 250.78 million on Sunday from QAR 890.59 million on Thursday, while the trading volume went down to 7.24 million shares against 11.84 million in the previous session.

The real estate sector topped the bourse’s losers falling 1.26% due to Ezdan Holding Group’s 1.47% drop.

Similarly, the banking sector went down 1.07% as the Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) levelled down 3.40%.

Meanwhile, the transportation sector headed the bourse’s gainers adding 0.89% as Qatar Navigation and Gulf Warehousing Company grew 2.04% and 1.78%, respectively.

The goods and services sector inched up 0.05% as Zad Holding Company grew 1.58%.

By the end of the session, Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding’s stock, which retreated 0.30%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 1.97 million shares, while Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock headed the bourse in terms of liquidity with QAR 55.95 million.
