Kuwaiti crude oil exports to Japan rise 14% in April
Japan’s total crude oil imports declined 8.8% in April

Mubasher:  Kuwaiti crude oil exports to Japan have increased by 13.7% year-on-year to 8.77 million barrels in April or by 239,000 barrels per day (bpd), hitting the highest level in three months, according to recent government data.

Kuwait, the third-biggest oil exporter to Japan, made up 9.1% of Japan’s total oil imports last month, the Japanese Agency for Natural Resources and Energy (ANRE) revealed.

Japan’s overall crude oil imports declined 8.8% year-on-year in April to 3.22 million bpd, registering a decrease for the second month in a row.

Meanwhile, Middle East exporters accounted for 89.4% of the country’s oil imports, the energy agency added.
