Mubasher: The Turkish Lira rose against the US dollar on Thursday, after the central bank decided to raise interest rates.

The Central Bank of Turkey decided on raise interest rates by 125 bases points (1.25%) to 17.75%, a move that comes after inflation rate surged to 12.15% in May.

The lira rose by 2% against the USD to 4.4665.
