Cairo – Mubasher: The International Labour Organization (ILO) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Bank of Kuwait – Egypt (NBK) to establish 100 biogas generation units in the Upper Egypt governorate of Minya.

Under the contract, NBK - Egypt will finance five startups to ease procedures for building and operating these 100 units, a statement by the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation Ministry showed on Monday.

The NBK-ILO joint initiative aims to support bioenergy technology that will contribute to achieving the economic and social development in rural communities.
