Saudi indices close Wednesday in decline
TASI’s traded volume declined to 80.32 million shares on Wednesday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Wednesday's trading session down after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 104.16 points, or 1.26%, to 8,166.3 points, touching its lowest level in June, and the NOMU parallel market index slid.  

TASI’s traded volume declined to 80.32 million shares on Wednesday, against 100.34 million in the last session ahead of Eid al-Fitr holiday, while trading value fell to SAR 1.87 billion ($498.4 million), registering lowest liquidity since September 2017, from SAR 2.4 billion ($640.53 million).

The commercial and professional services sector dropped 2.48%, followed by the banking sector with 2.02%. The telecommunication services and materials sectors fell 1.52%, and 0.8%, respectively. 

On the other hand, the insurance sector rose 1.23%, while real estate investment traded funds (REITs) inched up 0.02%.

Banque Saudi Fransi’s stock was the worst performer with 4.31%, whereas Mediterranean and Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Company’s (MedGulf) stock topped gainers with 5.64%.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, levelled down 2.08 points, or 0.09%, to close at 3,110.97 points.

Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock went down 0.16%.
