Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has seen an upward trend early Sunday on the back of foreign buying.

By 10:11 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 22.151 points, or 0.14%, to 16,368.28 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index added 0.14% to 813.1 points, while the broader EGX100 index went up 0.15% to 2,065 points.

Similarly, the equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.15% to 2,065 points.

Trading volume amounted to nearly 8.08 million shares exchanged through 1,140 transactions at a turnover of EGP 33.7 million.

Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 64.42 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 61.18 million and EGP 3.2 million, respectively.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) rose 0.31% to EGP 86, with a turnover of EGP 4.8 million.
