QSE hovers over 82 pts at Sunday’s close
The goods and services sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 1.77%

Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) ended Sunday’s trading session in the green, encouraged by the growth of all sectors.

The general index rose 82.82 points, or 0.93%, to finish the first session of this week at 9,005.34 points.

The QSE’s liquidity decreased to QAR 156.49 million on Sunday from QAR 205.15 million on Thursday, while the trading volume went down to 4.57 million shares against 4.97 million in the previous session.

The goods and services sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 1.77% as Qatar Fuel (Woqod) rose 2.97%.

Similarly, the banking sector went up 1.15% after Dlala Brokerage and Investment Holding and the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) levelled up 4.79% and 1.32%, respectively.

The industrial sector advanced 0.32%, boosted by Qatar National Cement’s 1.27% jump.

By the end of the session, Qatar Gas Transport’s (Nakilat) stock, which grew 1.15%, led the bourse in terms of trading volume with 1.7 million shares, while QNB’s stock spearheaded the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 48.7 million.
