Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session in green territory, backed by Arab buying.

The benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.3%, finishing the session at 16,395.05 points.

The small- and medium-caps EGX70 index added 0.14% to 812.49 points, while the broader EGX100 index levelled up 0.10% to 2,064 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.31% to 2,782 points.

Market capitalisation gained EGP 185 billion and closed at EGP 914.9 billion.

Trading volume amounted to nearly 172.4 million shares exchanged through 20,900 transactions at a turnover of EGP 751.3 million.

Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 31.2 million, while foreign and Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 23 million and EGP 8.2 million, respectively.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) grew 0.34% to EGP 86.02, with a turnover over of EGP 42.3 million.
