Dubai's dnata raises stake in Italy’s Airport Handling to 70%

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Dubai National Air Transport Association (dnata) has acquired an additional 40% share in Italy’s Airport Handling.

The recent deal increases the UAE-based carrier’s stake in Airport Handling to 70%, according to a company statement.

“Following more than two years of successful cooperation and the consistent delivery of excellent service standards to our customers, we are delighted to announce further investment in Airport Handling,” divisional senior vice president for dnata International Airport Operations & Associated Companies Stewart Angus commented.

Dnata has been managing the Italian company since 2016, promoting its passenger, ramp, and baggage services, which are provided to 60 airlines at Milan’s Malpensa (MXP) and Linate (LIN) two airports.

“We are confident that dnata and our stakeholders will benefit from this strategic acquisition, which underscores our broader vision and commitment to the Italian market,” Angus said.

The deal's value was not released by either companies.
